It is important to us to that your delivery is as quick, straightforward and as cost effective as possible. We will take the utmost care to wrap, pack and deliver your package, using Royal Mail or another reliable courier service.
We aim to send out all orders received by 2:00pm on the same day the order is received; subject to availability. Occasionally during busy periods, however, this may take a little longer. Orders received after 2:00pm will be dispatched the following working day. Please note that Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays are non-working days. For all standard deliveries, please allow 3-5 working days to receive your order. Postage costs are shown below, but we reserve the right to amend these costs for large or bulky items sent within the UK and overseas. Whenever possible we will send your entire order together. Occasionally, however, an item may be out of stock and will be sent as soon as it is available with no additional delivery charge. If any order is out of stock we will notify you, and advise when to expect delivery. All delivery dates are estimates and we cannot guarantee specific deadlines. If you wish to send different items to different addresses, each will incur a separate delivery charge. While we use our best efforts to meet all orders, we cannot guarantee the availability of every item displayed on this website. We reserve the right to discontinue the offer of any product listed at any time without notice, including any special promotions.
For special order items that are not immediately in stock, the delivery may take longer and incur additional costs. In cases where this applies we will notify you by email. [will we always have email addresses?].
1. Standard Delivery
The standard UK delivery time is 3-5 days, charged at [£3.95]. Orders over [£50] will be delivered free of charge.
All goods are sent using either Royal Mail Signed ForTM 1st Class, ParcelForce or by an alternative reliable courier requiring signed proof of delivery. Goods cannot be classified as lost until 14 days after posting.
Provided your items are in stock, we aim to deliver your order within 5 working days. Please note that during peak periods you should allow 7-10 days.
2. Next Day Delivery
Next Day Delivery is available for UK residents on orders placed before 2pm Monday to Thursday; excluding bulky items. Saturday delivery is available for UK residents on orders placed before 2pm on Friday, at a slightly higher charge; excluding bulky items. Please note some areas of Britain can take two working days to be delivered.
Orders requiring next day delivery are dispatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery GuaranteedTM, and require a signature on delivery.

3. Overseas Delivery
We are happy to send orders overseas to customers in the countries listed below. Please note that some larger and heavier items may be excluded. Please be aware that goods ordered from Kit & Caboodle for delivery outside the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes imposed by the country where the goods are received. These charges vary from country to country, are outside our control, and any such charges are entirely the responsibility of the purchaser. We therefore recommend that you contact your local customs office for full details and regulations. Please bear in mind also, that any delay caused by customs processing is similarly outside our control and could affect the delivery time.
Below is a list of the countries we can deliver to. Charges for Europe are a flat fee of [£6.50?] and [£10.50?] for the rest of the world. Clothing, jewellery and accessories are all fine to send overseas, but some larger homeware items would be excluded. 4. Free Delivery
All orders to UK delivery addresses are free on orders of £50 or more, excluding heavy or bulky items which are charged according to size, weight and postcode.
5. Tracking Your Parcel
If you have an email address registered with us you will receive confirmation that your items have been dispatched so that you can arrange for the package to be received [tracking number?].
We recommend that you use an address where there will be someone with authority to accept delivery on your behalf. For many, this may be a work address. Please ensure that you let us know the correct address as we cannot accept responsibility for lost items if the loss is due to you providing an incorrect address or instructions. If you are out, the normal procedure is that the delivery driver will leave a 'While You Were Out' card. You can then contact the local depot directly and re-arrange delivery for a time that suits you. [Not our responsibility, if returned to us we will charge to deliver again?]

Most of our parcels sent by standard delivery do arrive within 1-3 working days of posting, but we cannot guarantee this unless additional special delivery is paid for. Please, therefore, allow up to 7 working days. Occasionally an item may be out of stock, or may need to be ordered specially, or adverse weather conditions or postal strikes may cause delay in delivery. In this instance, please allow up to 30 days for your goods to be delivered. Delivery times may also take a little longer during peak periods, such as Christmas.
In the unlikely event that your goods are not delivered, we cannot treat the goods as lost, and subject to replacement or refund, until 15 days have elapsed from the due delivery date, in the UK and Northern Island, and 28 days from the due delivery date for Europe and the rest of the world. This is when the Post Office officially declares that the parcel was lost. If the loss was caused by an incorrect address being provided, we will not be liable for the failure to deliver and may subsequently look to reclaim the loss.
We regret that we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by third-parties, industrial action or severe weather affecting the delivery service.

Returning an item that has been purchased online

SagePay
When you shop with us, our secure server encrypts all of your personal information, including name, address and credit card information. We use SagePay which are an industry leader in secure internet transactions. SagePay are used by thousands of other UK businesses for transaction security.
All transaction information passed between our website and the SagePay Payment System is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and all messages from SagePay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing passed to SagePay can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Once on the SagePay system, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data they hold is extremely secure and they are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
SagePay has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with.
No individuals within our company or SagePay are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. Their systems only allow access to our most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your card information is secure even from their own employees because the systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.
